All Servers
- Prontera has taken down its festive decorations and put them back up in the attic for another year. The Midgard-wide enveloping snowstorm has ended also. Prontera will be changed back later tonight with a further patch.
- Santa Claus and the 13 children would like to thank you all for helping them find the Pesky Smokies.
- Items from the 2012 Christmas Event are now storageable. Sorry about that!
- Winter Scarf from the event has been renamed Warm Scarf in order to prevent confusion.
Loki
- Custom Episode - I.i A Glast from the Past (& Kraken's Lair)
- 16 new maps have been implemented, most of which are completely custom and never-seen-before.
- Two new maps north of cmd_fild03 to do with the new quest.
- Six new field maps - called the Faroe Islands - leading off these maps.
- A new dungeon - called the Thulean Plateau - can be found on far_isld05. It comprises of three levels.
- One new town - whose name is secret (but you may have already worked it out).
- Three indoor maps about the new town.
- One new instanced map used in a quest - for both solo and parties.
- 20 new mobs and two new MvPs - Skoll - who can be found within the Thulean Plateau - Verdadyr AKA Fluffy - fought in the final story quest.
- Over 70 new items, including cards for each new mob, equips, useables and others.
- Over 15 new quests - three of which are main storyline; one is an instanced boss fight, which after completion, allows the fighting of a super-strong version of the same boss with a party. Also introducing the long awaited Golden Wings slotting quest.
- Test trialling a new NPC talk system in order to increase immersiveness (please leave feedback regarding this!).
- To start, talk to Haeroditus at yuno_in03, 120, 188 (this is the Sage's guild, entrance to which is at 323, 280). Pre-requisites: Onward to the New World quest.
- Also introducing the Kraken's Lair instance:
- This instance will see you help hapless Nobby the Novice on his search for riches and fame!
- The instance will take place on the official Izlude Dungeon F6 map, but the instance and quest is entirely custom.
- Six new mobs and one new MvP - the Kraken.
- The instance itself has no inherent reward; rather, you are rewarded upon the completion of special, secret objectives which you will have to find out for yourself!
- The instance has a 2 hour cooldown. You may PM NPC:Nobby the Novice to check how long you have until re-entry.
- You may find Nobby the Novice on iz_dun04.
- This update will be coming to Eir and Tyr after the relevant balancing takes place.
- An error wherein the Cat Hand Agents would not accept investment certificates for the Halls of Abyss under certain circumstances has been fixed.
- Mapflags for the HoA are now correct.
- TAGRAS NPCs have been added to Yuno and Rachel's castles' convenience centres.
- HoA mob changes:
- Elvira - Will now lead with Charge Attack before using Desperado.
- Daehyon - EDP can no longer be interupted and will only use this at HP<30%.
- Kades - Will no longer cast Earth Quake after using Wide Stun. Will now properly lead into Wide Hell Dignity -> Wide Stun combo.
- Rudo - Will no longer cast Abra; chance to cast Soul Burn has decreased drastically (0.1%); will now cast Earth Spike.
- King Tristan II - Will only activate Reflect Shield if he is rude attacked.
- Mortus Vivens - Is now Ghost property.
- All four mini-bosses have had their chance to drop Gold reduced.
- All four MvPs have received a slight HP boost and anti-Asura measures installed.
- Items from the Christmas event now have the correct defence values.
- Ghostring Hat (32290) now has the correct sprite.
- Hervor has been made unrefineable. If you have a refined Hervor, please sign up for Helpdesk to get the refines removed. If after a week you are found to still have one, it will be deleted and you will be punished.
- An error wherein Marvin's Mace would use your Cedi points gained that day instead of overall Cedi points in order to determine how much % of demi-humans' defence to ignore has been fixed.
- Item changes:
- Dark Valkyrie Helm will correctly give 6 Def.
- Ebony Greaves now correctly give +1.5% to HP/SP per refine.
- Orc Knight Plate's bonus flee has been reduced from 100 to 75.
- Queen's Bells' bonus flee has been reduced from 100 + 5 per refine, to 70 + 3 per refine.
- Dress-Up Glasses' flee has changed from +20% extra to a flat +75.
- Demon Leather Sandals' flee has been reduced to 30 + refine*2.
- Demon Leather Suit's flee has been reduced to 50 + refine*5.
- Demon Leather Cloak's flee has been reduced to 30 + refine*2.
- Jessica's Bell (Headgear) now correctly gives 35% resist to freeze.
- The latest event's Winter Scarf will give 35% resist to freeze in order to prevent freeze immunity without using an armour card for extended classes.
- Elunium Greaves' defence has been reduced to 3.
- Elunium Breastplate's defence has been reduced to 5. Its bonus defence has been reduced to an extra 3+refine/2.
- Elunium Spaulders's defence has been reduced to 3.
- Elunium Shield's defence has been reduced to 3. Its bonus defence has been reduced to an extra 3+refine/5.
- Elunium Mask's defence has been reduced to 4. Its bonus defence has been reduced to an extra 3+refine/2. Its reduction of Vit-based defence has been increased.
- Drooping Amistr's defence has been reduced to 12.
- Spiky Band (2)'s defence has been reduced to 12.
- Variegated Vest's defence has reduced to 5. Its bonus defence has been reduced to an extra refine/2.
- Military Ration B will now correctly give +66 Hit.
- Tasty Rainbow Popsicle's flee has been reduced to 50.
- Tasty Rainbow Cake and Tasty Rainbow Carrot's effect on Atk and Matk have both been reduced to 150.
- Apple Juice Carton's flee has been reduced to 66.
- A Whisper pet will now give +5% Flee rather than the previous 7%.
- Two Errende Ebecee Cards will no longer stack.
- Corvo will no longer do AoE status effects; it will only now do single-target status effects. Close Confine has been removed from the weapon completely.
- All instances of return2 damage (x% to return all damage) have been replaced with ignore damage. Items effected include, but not limited to, Orc Knight Plate, Vigilante Shield and some Artistry sets.
- Rata Cards will now give +220 Matk.
- All sizes of Red Angelwings' effect on Critical value has been decreased by 10.
- Undead Runestick now correctly casts Safety Wall on your and not your opponent.
- Fable Silk will now increase after-cast delay by 10% and increase damage received from all sources by 20%.
- Friendly Guardians will no longer be effected by Ankle Snare. You may still Snare enemy Guardians.
- Two new commands have been added: @guildmes and @gw. @guildmes will display a broadcast-like announcement to all online guild members. @gw will allow guild leaders to set permissions for guild members based on position for use of @guildmes.
- Non-guilded people will no longer be allowed to enter a guild castle during WoE. This is to stop abuse. If you try to enter a castle three times with no guild, you will be jailed.
- The MvP, Leak, has a new armour drop: Tidon. It is slightly more powerful than the one stated at Ratemyserver.
- Skill changes:
- True Sight has been buffed. Hit will now be increased by 5 per SkillLV and Crit rate by 2 per SkillLV.
- Blitz Beat formula has changed to such that Dex will have five times and Int two times more of an effect on output damage.
- Falcon Assault's damage has increased as it is reliant on the Blitz Beat formula above for output damage. It's after-cast delay has decreased by a sixth.
Eir
- Dead Branch rooms have had their price doubled and instance length quadrupled.
- A number of previously restricted Dyna sprites have been made available. Try them out!
Tyr
Eir & Tyr
- Pet eggs from the recent event are now hatchable.
- Their loyal effects have been halfed.
- Ignis' Cap has been given its proper sprite.
